Friends of The Blackden Trust

Who are the Friends

The Friends of The Blackden Trust was initially set up by a group of friends who had previously been involved as volunteers supporting the Trust at its events.

As individuals, we experienced first hand the energy and the passion that drive the educational courses organised by the Trust and we witnessed the enthusiasm ignited in the young people attending them. As Friends of The Blackden Trust, our aim is to support its work in a variety of ways, including fundraising.

In addition to this, we share a strong interest for the site: the Old Medicine House, the land surrounding it and its ancient and present history. The Friends of The Blackden Trust will also work to support the ongoing care and preservation of the site.
